"i've never heard anything sound like this/almost seems unfair"

I met the professor I'm TAing for this morning, as well as the three TAs that also will be helping him. He is really, really organized and incredibly devoted to students learning. It was refreshing. The three other TAs seem not at all terrible, and already are an improvement on many of the people I met my first few days at UGA. Considering that I only talk to about two people from my year that I went to grad school with, that says a lot.

I really like Temple so far. The campus seems pretty nice and fairly modern. It's so urban, which just makes me feel right at home. It's not like NYU, since there is a pronounced campus, but I feel the same connection I did when I first set foot in Washington Square Park 11(!) years ago.

Tonight Mike and I are meeting DC for drinks and then we (Mike and me) are heading to see the Deathray Davies. I'm so excited. I love this band so much. Day of the Ray is one of the first records I reviewed for the Alternative Newsweekly in the ATH. I hope I can get a copy of the new record tonight, as well as a T-shirt, because that's how dorktacular I am about this band.

Tomorrow night is the New Pornographers show at the TLA. I think it's a fitting way to end my life of leisure. Orientation begins Wednesday and school begins next Tuesday. Let the next chapter start to write itself...
