One of the reasons I was very excited about moving back to the northeast is that bands are much more likely to tour here than in Athens/Atlanta. (For some reason, there is a tour route that many bands take that bypasses that part of the southeast altogether.)

There are so many shows coming up that I'm incredibly excited about, but I will miss them because of my sundry travels. For instance, The Shins are playing here on the 5th, but Mike and I will be jetting to San Fran for JT's wedding. Tonight, Mike is working at the B&S, Ben Kweller show. I'm very jealous that I can't make it up there tonight, but the mattress delivery guys are coming first thing tomorrow morning. Le sigh.

New Pornographers are playing here next week, as are the DEATHRAY DAVIES!!! I am so excited. At least those are some shows I can go to, provided the NPs are not sold out.
